8. Fasten the Receptor in Place
NOTE: If the unit is shimmed, make sure the length of the fasteners is sufficient to span the shims and penetrate
into the studs at least 1" (2.5cm).
- Tack the corners of the receptor into place using #6 large- head galvanized nails (not supplied) to fasten the unit.
(Figure 1)
- Carefully remove the walls.
- Shim the receptor as needed at each of the remaining wall studs and finish nailing the receptor into place in the
predrilled holes. (Figure 2)
9. Caulk the Receptor
- Apply a bead of caulk around the receptor where the shower walls come in contact with the receptor.
