Warning! Shock hazard. Do not allow any liquid to get
inside charger. Never attempt to open the battery pack for
any reason. If the plastic housing of the battery pack breaks
or cracks, return to a service center for recycling.
TUBE ASSEMBLY
NOTE: Ensure the sweeper is switched off and the battery
is removed before attaching or removing the sweeper tube.
The tube must be assembled to the housing before use.
f To attach the tube to the sweeper, line up the tube
with the sweeper housing as shown in Fig. A.
f Push the tube into the sweeper housing until the lock
button (7) engages the lock hole (6) in the tube.
INSTALLING AND REMOVING THE BATTERY
PACK FROM THE TOOL
Warning! Make certain the lock-off button is engaged to
prevent switch actuation before removing or installing battery.
To install battery pack:
Insert battery (4) into tool until an audible click is heard
(Fig. B). Ensure battery pack is fully seated and fully
latched into position.
To remove battery pack:
Depress the battery release button (4a) as shown in
Fig. C and pull battery pack out of tool.
OPERATION
Warning! Before assembly, make sure that the appliance
is switched off and unplugged.
Warning! Always wear protective gloves and safety
glasses when working with your blow vac.
f Hold the sweeper with one hand as shown in
Fig. D and sweep from side to side with the nozzle
several inches above the ground. Slowly advance
keeping the accumulated pile of debris in front of you.
SWITCHING ON AND OFF
Warning! Use both hands to grip the product firmly
when switching on.
Caution! Do not point unit discharge at self or
bystanders.
f To switch the sweeper on, slide the on/off switch
forward as shown in Fig. E.
f To switch the sweeper off, slide the on/off switch back
as shown in Fig. F.
POWERBOOST™ FEATURE
The POWERBOOST™ feature (3) is located on the LSW321
tool handle as shown in Fig. G. It allows you to optimize the
tools performance and boost the power as needed.
f Switch the sweeper on.
f To activate the "Boost" mode, press and hold the
POWERBOOST™ button down.
f To deactivate the "Boost" mode, release the
POWERBOOST™ button.
f Operate in "Normal" mode for most sweeping needs.
(Longer runtime will be achieved.)
f Activate "Boost" mode as needed to clear heavy
or wet debris.
MAINTENANCE
Your BLACK+DECKER appliance has been designed
to operate over a long period of time with a minimum of
maintenance. Continuous satisfactory operation depends
upon proper appli- ance care and regular cleaning.
f Keep the appliance clean and dry.
f Remove any leaves stuck to the inside of the vacuum
tube.
f Regularly clean the ventilation slots with a clean, dry
paint brush.
f Regularly clean the collection bag and ensure that it is
clean and empty after each use.
f To clean the appliance, use only mild soap and a
damp cloth. Never let any liquid get inside the tool and
never immerse any part of the tool into liquid. Do not
use any abrasive or solvent-based cleaner.
f Self lubricating bearings are used in your product,
there- fore lubrication is not required.
Warning! Remove battery pack before servicing, cleaning
or removing material from the gardening appliance.
¡Important! To ensure product SAFETY and
RELIABILITY, repairs, maintenance and adjustment
(other than those listed in this manual) should be performed
by authorized service centers or other qualified organizations,
always using identical replacement parts. Unit contains no
user service able parts inside.
ACCESSORIES
Recommended accessories for use with your tool are
available at extra cost from your local dealer or authorized
service center.
Warning! The use of any accessory not recommended
for use with this tool could be hazardous.
PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT
Separate collection. This product must not be
disposed of with normal household waste.
Should you find one day that your
BLACK+DECKER product needs replacement, or
if it is of no further use to you, do not dispose of it
with household waste. Make this product available
for separate collection.
