Self-test
After pressing the button [1] briefly, the device
performs a self-test and all LEDs [2] light up for a
short time.
3 White and green LED are lit.
Quality test
Open the cap of the brake liquid container.
Remove the plug [3] of the tester.
Switch on the device by pressing the button [1].
Press the button [1] several times briefly in order
to select the brake liquid and to move the white
LEDs to the desired DOT mark.
Top white LED:
Bottom white LED:
Top & bottom LED:
Test
Dip the test probe completely in the brake liquid,
however, not more than max. 1.5 cm.
Read the result from the LEDs [2].
Warning:
The device is only designed for the
purposes described in these operating
instructions. If the device is used for other
purposes, this can result in accidents or
in destruction of the device. The device
must not be changed in its design.
Warning:
The device must not be used for meas-
urements in electric circuits.

Note
Pay attention to the information of the
vehicle manufacturer and the brake
liquid manufacturer on changing the
brake liquid.
Note
The measurement is an additional
information. It does not replace the data
given by the manufacturer of the vehicle
(e.g. change intervals).
To avoid contamination of the brake liquid with
moisture, keep the expansion vessel open for a
short time only.
Do not measure too often.
Always rinse the test probes with water and dry.
Re-install the plug [3].
Note
Ensure there no residues of the brake
liquid remain on the test probes or on
the device.
Note
If brake liquid comes in contact with
your skin or clothes, rinse thoroughly
with water. Brake liquid must not be
exposed to the atmosphere since it is
highly hygroscopic!

Battery exchange

Remove the plug [3] of the tester.
Open the battery lid [4] carefully with a screw
driver.
Replace the discharged battery with a Würth
spare battery.
Observe proper polarity when inserting
the battery!

Red:
Brake liquid must be changed immedi-
ately. Warning! Safety risk!
Yellow: Water content has reached a critical level.
Brake fluid should be replaced at the next
opportunity.
Green: Water content in the brake fluid is OK.
