methods (mounting hardware is not provided):
a a . . S S u u r r f f a a c c e e M M o o u u n n t t - - Use keyholes shown in Figure 1 with
bolts sufficient for 100 lbs. (45 kg) load 1/4" (M6) bolts
recommended.
b b . . R R e e c c e e s s s s M M o o u u n n t t - - Use screws sufficient for 100 lbs.
(45 kg) through the corners of the enclosure (see Figure
1). Mount enclosure flush to or not more than 1/8"
(3 mm) below the finished wall surface. Enclosure is
3-7/8" (9.8 cm) deep past cover mounting tabs.
Enclosure cover dimensions are 32-1/2" x 15-7/8"
(83 cm x 40 cm).
C C a a u u t t i i o o n n - - This equipment is air-cooled. Mount in a
location where the vented cover will not be blocked.
12 inches (30 cm) of clearance in front of the vents
is required.
C C a a u u t t i i o o n n - - Power supply will hum slightly and internal
relays will click while in use. Mount in a location
where such noise is acceptable.
C C a a u u t t i i o o n n - - This equipment is intended for indoor use
only.

D D a a n n g g e e r r - - Locate and lock supply breaker in the OFF
position before wiring to terminal blocks or plugging
in power cord.
C C a a u u t t i i o o n n - - All wiring must be installed in accordance
with national and local electrical codes.
Locations to run power wiring into the enclosure are shown
in Figure 1. Terminal blocks will accept one 18 through 10
AWG (1-4 mm

) wire or two 18 or 16 AWG (1-1.5 mm
wires (see Figure 2). Tighten terminal blocks to 3.5-5 in-lbs.
(0.40-0.57 N

For increased system reliability, HomeWorks processors
can be powered by an uninterruptible power supply (UPS)
that incorporates surge protection, brown-out protection,
and battery backup. When selecting a UPS, allow 240 VA
of capacity for each processor on the UPS. A single large
UPS for all processors is better than an individual UPS for
each processor. This prevents inconsistent system opera-
tion on battery backup if the individual UPS units power
down at different times.
