BULB Mode
1. When the receiver is switched on, select the BULB mode by pressing the
function selector 2x to the right. A red light will glow below the corresponding
symbol.
2. Pressing the shutter release button at the receiver halfway down activates the
camera's autofocus (as if pressed directly at you would press the camera's
shutter release button). As long as you press, the shutter indicator will glow in
green color.
- When taking pictures at night or low light, we recommend to set the focus at your
camera manually and to switch the autofocus off. In this case, you can skip the
step of "pressing the shutter halfway down.."
3. Now fully press the shutter release button of the receiver. The camera shutter will open and
remains open until you press the shutter release button again. It now closes and the long
exposure shot (BULB mode shot) is taken. The shutter release indicator at the transmitter will
blink once in red color, the transmitter LED will blink as long as the shot takes.
- Notes: Your camera must be set to manual focus mode "M" and exposure to "BULB" mode.
- This setting is appropriate for photography of nightly sceneries. Using it at normal light conditions,
it will create strong overexposure
- For "BULB" mode shots the use of a tripod is highly recommended to avoid blurred images.
Delayed Shooting (app. 3 seconds)
1. When the receiver is switched on, select the delayed shooting mode by pressing the
function selector 3x to the right. A red light will glow below the corresponding symbol.
2. Pressing the shutter release button at the receiver halfway down activates the camera's
autofocus (as if pressed directly at you would press the camera's shutter release button).
As long as you press, the shutter indicator will glow in green color.
3. Now fully press the shutter release button of the receiver. A signal for delayed shooting
is now sent to the camera. To confirm this, the shutter release indicator at the
transmitter will blink 8x, then the shot will be taken.
- Note: Your camera must be set to single frame mode.
Notes for Shutter Releasing
When using the remote release tools, please care the following issues:
• If your camera's autofocus is switched off, it will not focus automatically, when the remote shutter is
pressed halfway down.
• If your camera's autofocus mode is set to "priority on focus", you can release only when the camera
has focused properly. So you will always get sharp images.
• In case your camera's autofocus mode is set to "shutter priority", the camera will release
immediately when the remote shutter button is fully pressed, regardless of the autofocus still
working or not.
Charging the Batteries
When the batteries of the transmitter and receiver get depleted, a red battery status warning light
will start blinking. It is the time now to replace the battery by a fresh one or to re-charge the
supplied battery. The battery can remain in the transmitter/receiver for charging. Both devices
are fitted with a charging socket to fit the supplied battery charger.
