The Munchkin
Latch™ Microwave Steriliser
®
uses the speed and convenience of your microwave
to sterilise baby feeding equipment in minutes. As
well as breast and bottle feeding accessories, you
can sterilise any other items that are suitable for
microwave use and can be boiled. if in doubt, please
contact the manufacturer.
WARNINg: LATCH™ BRUSH INCLUDED WITH
STERILISER SHOULD NOT BE STERILISED
IN THIS UNIT. The Latch™ Brush is included
for pre-washing bottles and bottle accessories. it
contains metal components which are prohibited from
microwave use. Attempting to sterilise the Latch™
Brush in the microwave is a potential fire hazard. The
Latch™ Brush may be cleaned in the dishwasher
on the top rack. Product dimensions: 17cm High x
31.5cm Diameter (Please check the size of
your microwave).

• Always add 200ml/7fl. oz. of water before each
use (Fill to "fill line" on base). We recommend using
distilled water, as it reduces mineral deposits.
• Do not use bleach or chemical sterilising solutions/
tablets in your steam steriliser or on products to
be sterilised.
• In combination ovens, ensure grill is switched off
and has cooled before use.
• Always follow loading instructions and do
not overload.
• When sterilising any feeding items, simply-arrange
the components within the rack ensuring that steam
can effectively circulate in and around all surfaces.
• Always allow at least 10 minutes cooling time
before removing the steriliser from the microwave.
• When removing from the microwave,
USE CAUTION – the steriliser will still be hot.
• USE CAUTION when removing lid as steam will
escape. Take care when opening the lid, as the
handles will be hot and hot steam will escape and
may cause burns.
• Do not carry steriliser using lid handle.
• Keep out of reach of small children.
Before each use
• Prior to sterilising, wash all items in mild soapy
water and rinse thoroughly in unsoftened water. it is
recommended not to use antibacterial soap
because over time and with consistent use, plastic
may become brittle.
• Remove rack and pour 200ml/7 fl. oz. of water,
preferably distilled, into the reservoir (Fill to "fill line"
on base).
• Put the rack back into the base.
When loading the steriliser, always ensure the
items are positioned to allow effective circulation
of steam.
To load up to four 125ml/4fl. oz. 150ml/5fl. oz.
260ml/9fl. oz. wide mouth bottles (see diagram A).
• Place the inverted bottles into crescent-shaped
holders around the rack's central stem.
• Place nipples around the edge and slot dome caps
into holder above the nipples.
• Place locking rings on their side, behind bottles.
To load four standard size bottles (see diagram B)
• Push up to four inverted bottles into the rack's
arrow-shaped notches so that they are supported
at an angle.
• Place up to four collars behind crescent
shaped holders.
• Place nipples inside crescent-shaped holders.
• Slot dome cap into dome cap holder.
To load breast pump accessories (see diagram C)
• Insert the breast pump plate in the arrow-shaped
recess in the lower part of the basket.
• Arrange breast pump accessories, bottles and
other components.
To load four Latch™ 4oz/120ml bottles (see
diagram D)
• Place the inverted bottles into crescent-shaped
holders around the rack's central stem.
• Place teats around the edge and slot caps into
holder above teats.
• Place collars on their side, behind bottles.
To load four Latch™ 8oz/240ml bottles (see
diagram E)
• Place teats inside crescent shaped holders.
• Place up to four collars behind crescent
shaped holders.
• Place the inverted bottles between the crescent
shaped holders, at an angle around the
central stem.
To Sterilise
• CHECK THAT YOU HAVE ADDED THE
CORRECT AMOUNT OF WATER 200ml/7fl. oz.
OF WATER (FILL TO "FILL LINE" IN BASE).
Failure to add enough water may cause damage to
this product and/or your microwave. Adding too
much water may mean your items are not
properly sterilised.
• Clip the lid on using the side catches and place
into microwave.
• See TABLE A for microwave wattage and
timings. DO NOT EXCEED THESE TIMES.
IMPORTANT: WAIT AT LEAST TEN MINUTES
BEFORE REMOVINg STERILISER FROM
MICROWAVE. This will complete the sterilisation
cycle and allow the unit to cool slightly.
• After the unit has cooled, the lid can be easily
removed by unclipping the side catches one at
a time.
• After each cycle, drain the excess water from the
unit and rinse to prevent limescale build-up.
• Items will remain sterile in the steriliser for up to
three hours providing the lid is not removed.

is dishwasher safe. Food colourings may
discolour components.

• Lid, tray, tongs and base are top-rack
dishwasher-safe.

• Ajoutez toujours 200 ml d'eau avant chaque

• Lors de la stérilisation de tout article d'alimentation,
disposez simplement les éléments sur le plateau
en veillant à ce que la vapeur puisse circuler
efficacement sur et autour de toutes les surfaces.
