Residual risks
Even when the machine is used correctly and all the relevant
safety regulations are maintained, the following residual risks
could still arise:
• Risk of injury to fingers and hands from incorrect handling of
tools or workpieces.
• Injury from workpieces being flung out from the machine.
• Injury from defective saw blades.
• Danger from electricity due to using defective power cables.
• Danger of damage to hearing due to working for long peri-
ods without wearing ear defenders.
• Emission of wood dust which is harmful to health when
operating the machine without a dust extraction system.
• In addition to these, in spite of all the safety precautions
taken, there are still residual risks which are not obvious.
These can be minimised by following the safety instructions,
by using the machine correctly and by following the operat-
ing instructions.
Power connection
The mains supply voltage shown on the serial plate (230 V~)
must be the same as the mains power supply connected to the
machine.
Fuses: Only use a 16 A slow blow (anti-surge) fuse with an earth-
leakage circuit breaker (e.l.c.b.).
Maximum permitted tripping current: 30 mA.
Only use connection cables which are designated H 07 RN – F
according to DIN 57 282 Part 1 / VDE [Association of German
Electrical Engineers] 0282 Part 1.

Mode of operation of motor

continuous operation of motor with:
cutting time = 20 % and
non-cutting time = 80 %
over a period of 10 minutes, this means:
2 minutes effective load and then 8 minutes free
running.
Undervoltage protection
While the machine is not connected to the mains, the motor
protection switch cannot latch when the machine is switched on.
After a power failure, the motor switches off and must then be
switched on again.
Motor brake
The machine has a brake motor. After switching off, the motor
must stop running within 10 seconds. If this period is exceeded,
contact the customer service workshop.
Motor protection switch
The machine has a motor protection switch which trips if the
motor is overloaded. After a cooling-off period of about 20 min.,
the motor can be switched on again.

Starting up
The machine must not be started until it has been fully
assembled.

Saw blade height adjustment (Figure A)
The height is adjusted by turning the crank handle
Read off the depth of cut on the scale
Saw blade angle adjustment (Figure B)
The angle of inclination can be adjusted between 0° and 45°.
• Unscrew the star wheel
• Adjust to the desired angle using the scale
• Retighten the star wheel
Changing the saw blade (Figure C)
• Adjust the blade to the maximum cutting height.
• Remove the saw-blade
liner.
• Insert the assembly tool (Ø 8 rod) into the saw arbour via the
hole in the inner flange plate.
• Unscrew the clamping screw
NOTE: LEFT-HAND THREAD
• Remove the outer flange plate
• Remove the saw blade.
NOTE:
Removing the inner flange plate exposes a locat-
ing pin (Ø 4 x 8,5) on the motor shaft – do not
lose it. This locating pin is used to align the inner
flange plate Á with the hole on the motor shaft.
It is essential that this pin is installed during re-
assembly.
• Pay attention to the running direction of the saw blade.
Adjusting the divider plate (Figures D & E)
The divider plate must be readjusted every time a saw blade is
fitted.
The saw blade and the divider plate must be in alignment.
Distance between the saw blade and the divider plate: 3–8 mm.
The upper edge of the divider plate must be about 20 mm above
the saw blade.
• Adjust the blade to the maximum cutting height.
• Remove the saw-blade
liner.
• Unscrew the
hexagon nut.
• Adjust the divider plate correctly – nowhere must the
distance to the saw blade exceed 8 mm.
• Retighten the hexagon nut.
• Replace the bench liner and reinstall the saw-blade safety
guard.
Installing the fence on the elbow
(Figure F): – use as a longitudinal stop
Insert the fence
according the cutting width.
