• the operation manual is always
completely available at the machine
working place and also in legible
condition
• all safety and warning signs attached to
the machine have not been torn off or
otherwise removed and that they are
always legible.
6.2
Safety adives in Production
The machine may only be operated by
persons trained for this task who know the
operation manual and can work according
to it!
Check the machine on visible damage
before every start of production and make
sure that it is operated in a flawless
condition only! Whenever you discover a
defect, tell your superior at once!
Remove material / items which are not
required for production from the working
area of the machine before beginning to
work with it!
Do not reach into the working range of the
machine. You run the risk of getting
crushed!
Get familiar with:
• the operation and control elements of the
machine
• the equipment of the machine
• the way the machine works
• the immediate surroundings of the
machine
• the safety facilities
• the measures to take in an emergency
The following jobs must be performed
before starting:
•
check to make sure that all safety
facilities are attached and in functioning
order
•
check the machine on visible damage,
repair any discovered faults or report
them to the supervising staff – the
machine may only be operated in a
flawless condition
•
check to make sure that only authorised
persons are present within the working
area of the machine and that no other
persons are at risk when the machine is
started.
• Machine has been maintained according
to maintance plan
Take notice of the following points
during operation:
• safety appliances must never be
removed or robbed of their functions.
• the machine must be operated by one
single person only. If the part you are
working on is very large and you require
helpers, they must hold the part with both
hands outside of the danger area.
6.3
Properties of the Tube Intended
for Processing / Preparations
The forming tube machine 1050 is designed
for reshaping tube ends (producing flares
and flanges) under conditions described in
this manual; it is prohibited to use the
machine for other purposes.
Pre-conditions are the maintenance of
assembly and operating directions as well
as the utilisation of Parker products, i.e.
tools and spare parts.
Normal-annealed, seamless cold-drawn or
welded and second-operation drawn steel
tubes can be flared or flanged with the
machine Parflange 1050. Solution-annealed
seamless cold-drawn or welded and
second-operation drawn austenitic stainless
steel tubes can also be worked.
The precise specifications as well as other
applicable tube materials (i.e. copper) can
be taken from the Technical handbook,
Parker Catalogue 4100 (Europe) and
Industrial tube fittings Parker catalogue
4300 (USA).
