Cleaning and storing

Carry out the following operations:
Switch off the battery pack (1).
Disconnect the power supply cable (19) from the battery (1) and from the tool.
Clean the inner part of the body (21) shells eliminating any impurities which have entered through the cooling slots of
the motor, then assemble again by carrying out the same operations in reverse. Be careful when positioning the speed
controller and the connecting cables in order to avoid damages.
6.1.3

Storing the tool and maintaining the battery pack

Before storing the tool for a long period, you must:
Completely charge the battery pack (1).
Recharge the battery (1) every 180 days, performing a complete cycle (see Par. 5.3).
When storing it, keep the equipment in a dry place and put it in its carrying case.
WARNING!
If it is not recharged every 180 days, the battery (1) could get worn irreparably.
6.2

Special maintenance

WARNING!
Any special maintenance operation shall be carried out by an Authorised Service Point only.

These are the centres, indicated by the Manufacturer, authorised to repair the products.

Maintenance

7.1

Disposal of exhaust materials

After having been installed and during use, the machine does not cause any environmental pollution. However,
throughout its working life, some types of residual waste or exhaust materials (such as filters, oil, etc.) are being
produced in certain maintenance situations.
There are specific regulations in every Country as for the disposal of these materials and the environment pro-
tection. The Customer is required to be knowledgeable in the Laws in force in his own Country and to operate
only while complying with these regulations, according to the indications in the product technical charts, which
may be obtained from the Manufacturer.

The Laws in force about the disposal of mineral oils must be followed.

More information about the disposal of oils and other substances can be found in the safety chart of the sub-
stances.
The steps employed in the disposal of toxic waste including the collecting, transporting, processing (transfor-
mation for recycling), as well as the deposit and the dumping onto the ground are all usual activities of common
interest and are subject to the following general principles:
a)
Any risks of injuries or dangers for the health and safety of any individual and of the community
have to be avoided.
b)
Compliance with any and all hygienic-sanitary requirement and avoidance of any air, water, ground
and underground pollution have to be guaranteed.
