2.1) Preparation
(Ref. to Fig. 1)
Select the appropriate die set for the connector.
Open the head (if required) by pressing the latch (11) and release the upper die holder (14).
Keep release pin (12) depressed and insert one die into the seat on the ram (15) and the other
die into the upper die holder (14) until they are locked by retaining pin (13).
Close the latch.
Remove the handle holder (22) to release the moveable handle (20).
Never place the head under pressure without inserting the dies, as this could cause damage
to the head and the ram.
2.2) Die advancement
Insert the conductor into the connector.
Position the connector between the dies and ensure the correct location of the crimp then close
the head by the upper die holder (14).
Ensure that the latch and the upper die holder are fully secured, otherwise damage may
occur during tool operation.
Operate the moveable handle (20) to build up pressure and close the dies.
The automatic opening of the moveable handle allows the operation of the tool using one hand,
while locating the connector in the desired crimp position with the other hand.
