7.3. Lubrication
This should be done before first use.
It also must be done before every sterilization.

Keep away from any heat or fire source.
Do not smoke!
Wear a protective mask.
Remove the rotary instrument (see §1.3.).
Insert the spray into the handpiece (Anthogyr reference :
1930). Make sure that the nozzle is the right one.
Cover the head of the handpiece with a small decontaminating
cloth.
Put the head upside down.
Spray several times until the liquid coming out of the
handpiece is clear.
Wipe the oil excess off with a rag or with a small cloth.

Warning : for lengthy operations, repeat every 30
minutes.
7.4. Operating test
This test has to be done prior to each sterilization.

Connect the handpiece to the motor ; put the
handpiece head upside down. Slowly rotate the
contra angle for 30 seconds X to get rid of the oil
excess, and then rotate the contra angle faster for 30 seconds.
Wipe the handpiece with a small cloth if oil has flown out.

If you notice heating, irregularities, vibrations or
abnormal sounds during the operation of the contra
angle, immediately contact your approved technical
department.
7.5. Sterilization

The handpiece and its accessories must be sterilized
before the first use and after each use.
Material sterilizable in autoclave only at 135°C - 2.13 bars
(275°F – 30.88 psi) during a minimum of 20 minutes.
Class B autoclave is advised.
No other sterilizable process is allowed.
Read the instructions manual of the autoclave manufacturer.
Comply with the space between the bags and do not overload
the autoclave.
• To be done prior to sterilization: first disinfection, cleaning,
lubricating and testing.
• Withdraw the rotary instrument (tool) before sterilization
(see § 5.3).
• Remove the spray nozzle from the handpiece.
• Check that the material has no rust and no crack. Check
its working correctly. Check it is dry. If not, dry it with medical
quality air under pressure.
• Use the sterilization bags suited for handpieces and for
autoclave (norm NF EN 868). Put one handpiece per bag.
• To avoid any water retention, put the bag into the autoclave
so that the hollow parts are upside down.
• When autoclave has different working cycles, chose the one
for medical material (minimum 135°C - 2.13 bars (275°F –
30.88 psi) for 18 minutes.
• After each sterilization, check there is no water left inside
or outside the packaging. Check the indicator for the correct
colour change.
• Keep the material in the sterilization bag, in a lightless
dry space, free from sources of contamination. Follow the
packaging manufacturer instructions.
• After its sterilization, material can be kept in its sterile
packaging for a maximum of one month (not more). Label
the material with the use-by date. If the product has not been
used prior to the use-by date, re-clean and sterilize.
