7. Install the Latches
Install the Open Side Latch
IMPORTANT! The open latch will always be longer than the closed side latch.
IMPORTANT! The open latch will always be located on the fixed panel side of the door assembly.
Attach a latch to the larger retainer and secure with the 3/8" (ST4 x 10 mm) screw shown.
On the side frame with the fixed panel attached, attach the retainer using two 1-1/4" (ST4 x 45 mm)
panhead screws.
Install the Closed Side Latch
IMPORTANT! This latch and retainer are used both left and right hand installations.
IMPORTANT! The closed latch will always be located on the open side of the door assembly.
Attach a latch to the small 1-3/8" long retainer and secure with the 3/8" (ST4 x 10 mm) screw
shown.
On the side frame opposite the fixed panel, confirm the mounting block is positioned as shown.
Attach the retainer to the mounting block using two 1-3/4" (ST4 x 45 mm) panhead screws.
