Rear
Remove tow hook brackets – Using a 17mm socket, remove factory tow hook brackets (if present) by removing (10) M12 flange head bolts. Return bolts & brackets

to vehicle owner. See Figure 2. NOTE: For vehicles without factory tow hook brackets, it may be necessary to clean the existing weldnuts in frame using a wire brush
or compressed air.
Install hitch – Raise the hitch into position, raising the passenger's side hitch bracket above the exhaust first, then raise the driver's side into position. Using the

supplied hardware, install the M12 bolts, conical toothed washers, and hardened flat washers as shown. See Figure 1.

Tighten all M12 CL10.9 fasteners with torque wrench to 76 Lb.-Ft. (103 N*m)
Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing.
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been
damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
