Hydraulic balancing of the fixed-value control station
(FRS)
Depending on the pipe network, different settings at the control valve
(B) are required. In buildings with several floor levels, the pipelines have
differences in height and length. These differences can be offset at
the control valve (B) to ensure the same hydraulic conditions at every
interface (control station or radiator). Check the value to be set from
the control valve diagram (see "Diagrams") based on the calculated
differential pressure and set this value at the control valve.
6.4
See enclosed installation/operating instructions for control types and
functions of the circulating pump.
B
Recommended control type:
Constant differential pressure control (Δp).
Possible cause
Air in the system
Pump performance set too high
Supply settings are too low
Thermostat valve set too low
Control valve is closed
Balancing valve completely opened
Primary circuit temperature too low
Thermostat valve set too high
Defective thermostat control head or
thermostat valve
Air in the circulating pump
System pressure too low
No power supply / STW triggered
Pump is blocked
Circulating pump is defective

CAUTION
Troubleshooting
Vent the system
Correct pump settings
Correct pump settings
Increase settings at thermostat valve
Correct the setting of the control valve
Correct the setting of the balancing valve
Correct the boiler settings (min. 15 K)
Decrease settings at thermostat valve
Replace defective component
Run the pump. Manually vent the pump (see installati-
on instructions for pump)
Increase the system pressure. Check the gas volume
in the expansion vessel if necessary
Connect to power supply / temperature > 55 °C
Remove contamination
Replace the circulating pump
