Prior to installation, read these installation
and operating instructions. Installation and
operation must comply with local regula-
tions and accepted codes of good prac-
tice.

1. General information

The current transformers are accessories for the
Grundfos MP 204 motor protector.
At motor currents above 120 A and up to and includ-
ing 1000 A, current transformers must be used.

3. Mounting

Fit the current transformers to a metal plate with four
screws so that the cables to the motor can easily be
taken through the transformers. See dimensional
sketch on page 54.
Note: The current transformers must be fitted in the
same direction.

4. Connection

For a three-phase installation, three current trans-
formers must be used.
Take each phase to the motor through a current
transformer, see fig. 1.
Connect the secondary side of each current trans-
former to a wire and take the wire five times through
the I1, I2 and I3 of the MP 204, see figs. 1 and 2.
Note: The three current transformers must be fitted
in the same direction and connected in the same
way.

4.1 MP 204 setup

When the current transformers are used together
with an MP 204 and the installation is made as
shown in figs. 1 and 2, the actual current transformer
factor must be set in the MP 204 with the Grundfos
R100 remote control. See table on page 54.
Set the current transformer factor in menu
INSTALLATION, see fig. 3.
