Charging the battery

Note
If the battery capacity below 15 %, the
operating indication illuminates in red
[10].
Charge the batteries
(charging socket [2] is on the bottom side).
Note
You can exchange the battery by
charged secondary cells or by primary
cells.
3 The indication [10] flashes in red during charg-
ing.
3 If the battery is charged, the indication [10]
illuminates in green.
Start-up
Protect the device against moisture and
direct sunlight.
Do not expose to extreme tempera-
tures or temperature changes.
E.g. do not leave it in a car for a longer period
of time. Before putting it in operation, allow the
device to acclimatise when it was exposed to
high temperature changes. Extreme temperatures
or temperature changes can impair the accuracy
of the device.
Protect the device against hard shocks
or drops.
After heavy impacts check the device for ac-
curacy (see accuracy test on page 16) before
putting it in operation.
Switching on
Place the device on level ground.
Release the compensator using the On/Off
rotary knob [1].
3 The device starts the levelling process automati-
cally. The downward plumb beam is visible and
the indicator [10] illuminates in green.
Note
The device is out of the levelling range, if
the indication [7] illuminates in red and
you hear an acoustic signal. If the laser
beams are switched on, they flash.
