Correct use
The GTB2S is a photoelectric proximity sensor with background suppression
for the optical, non-contact detection of objects, animals and persons. The
sender and receiver are integrated into a single housing unit. The light beam
output by the sender is reflected by the object to be detected. The receiver
evaluates the reflected light.

Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Die GTB2S ist ein optoelektronischer Reflexions-Lichttaster mit Hintergrund-
ausblendung und wird zum optischen, berührungslosen Erfassen von
Sachen, Tieren und Personen eingesetzt. Sender und Empfänger sind in
einem Gehäuse untergebracht. Der vom Sender ausgebrachte Lichtstrahl
wird vom zu detektierenden Objekt reflektiert. Der Empfänger wertet das
reflektierte Licht aus.
Inbetriebnahme
1 Einsatzbedingungen wie Tastweite und Remissionsvermögen des
Tastgutes sowie des Hintergrundes überprüfen und mit der Kennlinie
im Diagramm vergleichen (x = Tastweite, y = Übergangsbereich zwi-
schen eingestellter Tastweite und sicherer Hintergrundausblendung).
Remission: 6 % = schwarz, 18 % = grau, 90 % = weiß (bezogen auf
Standardweiß nach DIN 5033).
2 Bewegungsrichtung des Objektes relativ zum Taster einhalten.
Nur bei den Steckerversionen:
Leitungsdose spannungsfrei aufstecken und festschrauben.
Nur bei den Versionen mit Anschlussleitung:
Für Anschluss gilt: brn = braun, blu = blau, blk = schwarz, wht = weiß.
Lichttaster an Betriebsspannung legen.
Einstellung Tastweite
Objekt positionieren. Lichtfleck auf Objekt ausrichten.
Sichtbarer roter Sendelichtfleck auf Objekt erkennbar.
Einstellung auf minimale Tastweite drehen. Dann Tastweite
so lange erhöhen, bis Anzeige-LED leuchtet.
Empfehlung: Tastweite mit einem Sicherheitsaufschlag
von 15 % der Tastweite versehen.
Objekt entfernen.
Hintergrund wird nicht erkannt: Einstellung beendet.
Hintergrund wird erkannt: Hintergrundeinfluss zu stark.
Applikation und Einstellung überprüfen
Wartung
SICK-Lichtschranken sind wartungsfrei.
Wir empfehlen, in regelmäßigen Abständen:
– die optischen Grenzflächen zu reinigen.
– Verschraubungen und Steckverbindungen zu überprüfen.
Veränderungen an Geräten dürfen nicht vorgenommen werden.
