Warnings and precautions
Keep out of reach of children under 12 years.

Never immerse the thermometer into water or other liquids (not waterproof). For cleaning and

disinfecting please follow the instructions in the section „Care and cleaning".
Never use the thermometer for purposes other than those it has been intended for. Please
f
follow the general safety precautions when using on children.
Keep the thermometer out of direct sunlight and store it in a dust-free, dry, ventilated place at a
f
temperature between 10°C (50°F) - 40°C (104°F). Do not use the thermometer in environments
with high humidity ( > 95% RH).
Do not use the thermometer if there are signs of damage to the sensor or the device itself. If it
f
is damaged, do not attempt to repair the device! Please contact the Soehnle Industrial
Solutions customer service.
This thermometer consists of high quality precision parts. Do not drop the instrument. Protect
f
it from strong shocks and vibrations. Do not twist the instrument or the measuring sensor.
Please consult your doctor if you experience symptoms such as unexplained irritability,
f
vomiting, diarrhoea, dehydration, changes in appetite or activity, seizures, muscle aches,
tremors, stiff neck, pain when urinating, etc., even if there is no fever.
Even if there is no fever, those who have an abnormal temperature may still need medical
f
treatment. Persons taking antibiotics, analgesics or antipyretics should not be assessed on
temperature measurements alone to determine the severity of their illness.
A rise in temperature can be an indication of a serious illness, especially in older adults with a
f
weakened immune system or in newborn babies and infants. Please seek professional advice
immediately if a temperature rise occurs in the following groups of people: elderly people (over
60 years of age, fever may be dulled or even absent in older patients), diabetes mellitus or a
weakened immune system (e.g. HIV positive, cancer, chemotherapy, chronic steroid treatment,
splenectomy), in bedridden persons (e.g. nursing home patient, stroke, chronic diseases) or in
transplant patients (e.g. liver, heart, lung, kidney) and in other risk groups.
This thermometer is not suitable for premature babies. This thermometer is not intended to
f
interpret hypothermia. Do not allow children to take their temperatures unattended.
Use of this thermometer is not intended to replace consultation with your doctor or
f
paediatrician. It is intended for household use only.
Clean the thermometer probe after each use.

Do not use the thermometer on newborn babies or for continuous temperature monitoring.
f
Do not take the measurement during or immediately after breastfeeding a baby.
f
Patients should not drink, eat or be physically active before or during the measurement.
