- Place the loudspeaker wire onto the glue foam adhesive tape and glue it with another same
foam adhesive tape (L) -arrow-. Behind the safety belt reel cover fasten the loudspeaker
wire using the foam adhesive tape (L) to the bodywork -arrow-.
- Run the wire backwards, across the wheel cover to the rear part of the car, as indicated in
figure 16.
Connecting the loudspeaker wires
- Slide the loudspeaker wire tubes to relevant spots in the parking sensor harness terminal
EN
board. Connect the terminal board to the control unit.
- 17, 18 - ŠKODA Octavia
Connection of brown and black/white wire, fastening of the control unit
- Connect the wires to the rear combined lamp as shows the scheme on the figure.
- Fasten the connected wires to the existing electrical installation of the vehicle with
a tightening tape (H) -detail- to prevent them from getting loose during driving. Then fasten
the connected terminal boards with a foam adhesive tape (L) to the existing electrical
installation of the vehicle to prevent any undesired noise during the drive.
- Glue the control unit (A) above the rear wheel cover, approximately to the place displayed in
the figure.
- Using the foam adhesive tapes (K), fasten the parking sensor wires in the vehicle trunk to
the bodywork.
- 19 - ŠKODA Octavia Combi
Placing the control unit and loudspeaker in the trunk of the car
- Attach the loudspeaker (C) and the control unit (A) with a Velcro fastener on the rear
sideplate of the car, approximately to the place shown in the figure, so that the wires aim
downwards the trunk. Fasten the loudspeaker wire using the foam adhesive tape (L) to the
rear sideplate bodywork.
Connecting the loudspeaker wires
Connect the loudspeaker wire sockets to the parking sensor bundle terminal board in the
same manner as in vehicles ŠKODA Octavia (Fig. 16).
Connection of brown and black/white wire in the rear combined lamp
- Connecting the wires in the rear combined lamp is the same as the connection in vehicles
ŠKODA Octavia (Fig. 17). Fasten the wires to the rear side plate bodywork using the foam
adhesive tape (K).
- At the rear combined lamp, fasten the wires to the existing electrical installation of the car
in the same manner as in vehicles ŠKODA Octavia (Fig. 18).
Check proper fastening of all the wires. The wires must be fastened in such manner to
avoid their damage and occurrence of any disturbing noises during the drive.
After finishing the fitting, refit all dismantled parts to their places according to the
Workshop Manual. Connect the car battery and perform all operations related with the
disconnection and re-connection of the car battery. Test the function of the sensors.
Important instructions in case a failure occurs on the parking
sensors
If there occurs an irregular false indication of an obstacle, it can be due to contamination or
frost on the sensors. Clean the sensors (not with pressure water).
