In the event of dynamic loads on the device, this could cause damage to the rope sheath and therefore it must be
thoroughly inspected. In the event of a major fall, the device and the rope must be replaced.
To calculate the minimum clearance distance, refer to fig.10a-10b and chart A.
EN 353-2:2002 use
For this use the button [8] must be placed in position 2
To use "Goblin" as a fall-arrest device on a flexible anchor line, the device must be combined exclusively with EN 1891
Type A semi-static rope as specified in chart A.
Always connect to an attachment point for fall arrest (A) of an EN 361 full body harness. The use of a sternal attachment
point is preferable over a dorsal one. The connection must be made through a connector or "Webbing Lanyard"
connection sling Art. 2030026F - 2030040F - 2030074F (fig.8). Do not connect the device to the attachment points for
suspension or for work positioning of an EN 813/ EN 358 harness.
To calculate the minimum clearance distance, refer to fig.10a-10b and chart A.
For the use on roofs or terraces with the risk to fall over the edge (fig.13), rope should be adequately protected. Side
movements should be limited in order to avoid dangerous pendulum effects in case of fall. For the calculation of clearance
distances, refer to chart A. Take proper actions in order to avoid breakage of walking floor.
EN 12841:2006 Type B use
For this use the button [8] must be place in position 1
For use of the "Goblin" as an ascender for the working line in rope access, the device must be combined exclusively with
semi-static EN 1891 Type A ropes with nominal diameter between 10 and 11 mm.
Always connect to a ventral attachment point of an EN 813 sit harness. The connection must be made through EN 362
connectors and EN 354 lanyards, with total maximum length of 1 m (fig.9).
Do not connect the device to the attachment points for work positioning of an EN 358 harness.
Always use combined with a safety line with a type A adjustment device.
ANSI/ASSE Use
For the use in conformity with ANSI/ASSE american standard, see fig.16.
EAC Use
Goblin is certified according EAC (Russia-Belarus-Kazakhstan-Armenia-Kyrgyzstan standard). Follow the same
instructions of EN use.
RESCUE USE
Summary
CAMP "Goblin" is a safety line adjustment device for rescue in rope access by two people, for use in combination with
semi-static ropes EN 1891 Type A with nominal diameter between 10 and 11 mm.
