3.2.1
The power source does not start, control
panel off.
MAINS SUITABILITY TEST.
□ No voltage for mains protection trip.
NO
Correct?
♦ Eliminate any short-circuits or isolation leaks
towards earth on the connections between
power cord, switch (5) and J3-J10 terminals
on power board (13).
♦ Make sure the rectifier bridge PD1 on power
board (13) is not in short circuit.
♦ Mains not suitable to power the power source
(e.g.: insufficient installed power).
MAINS CONNECTION TEST.
□ Terminals J3 and J10 on power board (13) = 230 Vac,
with switch (5) closed.
CAUTION
The circuits in this section of the power board (13) are
directly connected to the mains potential and therefore
dangerous. To measure use insulated tools and take the
necessary precautions.
POWER SUPPLY TEST (Fig. 2.3.1, 2.3.2).
□ Power board (13), terminals +(+) and -(-) of the DC-
capacitors C49, C50, C51 (are parallel connected
between them), voltage = +330 Vdc approximately,
after switch (5) closing; +375 Vdc, after start-up phase,
5 s approximately.
YES
Correct?
♦ If the voltage is not present, turn off the
power source and make sure there is no
interruption in the power board (13) input
connections or in the boost converter inductor
(10) connection or check the DC-capacitors
terminals are not in short circuit. If the case
look for the short circuit cause between the
following components: boost converter (Q10
÷ Q12, etc.), flyback circuit (U7, Q4, D8, D35,
etc.), DC-capacitors, inverter igbt and diodes
(Q13 ÷ Q20, D24, D25, etc.). Replace them if
necessary.
♦ If the voltage remains at values much lower
than 330 Vdc, check the precharge circuit
(PT1, relay RL1, etc.).

YES
NO
♦ If the voltage remains at 330 Vdc check the
boost converter circuits (U2, Q7, Q10 ÷ Q12,
D22, etc.) and the voltage on J2 of power
board (13), as indicated in Fig. 2.3.2 (flyback
and boost converter circuits power supply).
POWER BOARD (13) POWER SUPPLY TEST.
□ Power board (13), connector J4, terminals:
− 3(-) - 2(+) = +5 Vdc;
− 3(-) - 4(+) = +14,5 Vdc,
as indicated in Fig. 2.3.2 (power board (13) circuits
power supply).
YES
Correct?
♦ Locate the faulty components, on power
board (13) be based on diagram in Fig. 2.3.2
and Connectors map in par. 5.2.
♦ Replace power board (13).
■ Replace power board (13).
3.2.2

Fan (9) stopped.

The fan (9) operation is only subordinated to the main
switch (5) closing.
3.2.3

Control panel doesn't show correct values.

SELF TEST.
□ Upon turning on the unit, leds yellow B and green C
lit for the first 5 s, after closing the switch (5) (start-up
phase).
YES
Correct?
♦ Check supply voltages of the power board
(13), performing the tests of par. 3.2.1.
ERROR CODE TEST.
□ Upon turning on the unit, after the start-up phase, led
yellow B = lit or flashing.
NO
Correct?
♦ See Error code, par. 3.3.
■ Regular operation.
