8.1.1) Power dissipation
Before using the interface blocks, calculations must be made to verify that the current to be trans-
mitted does not exceed the stated power loss. To do so, use this formula:
P = I² * R * Number of probess
If, for example, the test probes of SB-x-SI-170-4A-N with 1.5 A version are charged, the number
of probes is 170; the resistance is 0.01W), so the calculation is:
P = (1.5A)² * 170 * 0.01W
The result is P = 3.825 W, the expected power loss is thus within the permissible range of maxi-
mum 5 W (cf. Table).

Do not store interface blocks unprotected outdoors or in a humid environment.
