Remove the contents from box and check for damage. Verify all parts are present. Read instructions completely
STEP 1.
before beginning.
CAUTION: Wheels must be supported to support sub-frame to unibody to avoid misalignment for re-attachment.
STEP 2. Remove factory shield by removing two 6mm bolts and eleven push type fasteners. Four push type fasteners will be
visible from the front of the vehicle, two will be in each wheel-well, and the remaining three will be underneath the
vehicle.
Trim factory shield using templates and re-install.
STEP 3.
Remove two factory 14mm bolts. SEE FIGURE 1.
STEP 4.
Determine passenger and driver brackets.
STEP 5.
Install support brace on passenger side as shown. Attach passenger bracket using the factory 14mm bolt. SEE
STEP 6.
FIGURE 1.
STEP 7. Repeat bracket installation for driver side. NOTE: There is not a brace on the driver side.
STEP 8. Attach Safari Bar to brackets using 1/2" fasteners. SEE FIGURE 1.
FINISH PROTECTION
Westin products have a high quality finish that must be cared for like any other exposed finish on the vehicle. Protect the finish with a non-abrasive automotive
wax, (e.g. Pure Carnauba) on a regular basis. The use of any soap, polish or wax that contains an abrasive is detrimental, as the compounds scratch the finish
and open it to corrosion.
