4.2. Fitting the trunk holding plates (Fig. 7-8)
Push the trunk holding plates (Fig. 2/Item 11) through
the guide slots in the hand guards, as shown in Figure
7. As you do this, ensure that the oval holes in the
trunk holding plates line up with the securing holes in
the hand guards. Secure them with the fastening set
(Fig. 2/Item 13) as shown in Fig. 8. The trunk holding
plates can now be adjusted to the trunk thickness
using the oval holes.
4.3 Fitting the trunk support (Fig. 9-10)
The trunk support can be installed at three different
heights (Fig. 2):
Position A: Max. log length 520 mm
Position B: Max. log length 780 mm
Position C: Max. log length 1040 mm
There are three attachment devices at different
heights on the wood splitter for this purpose. To use
the trunk support, the locking levers on the
appropriate attachment device must be moved
upwards (Fig. 9) so that they are vertical (Fig. 24).
The trunk support must then be pushed into the
attachment device from the front and secured by
returning the locking levers to their original positions
(Fig. 10).
In addition, you can also limit the lifting height of the
splitter. To do so, turn the machine off and slacken
the star screw (Fig. 12/Item 12) by 2-3 turns, then
raise the limit bar to the required height and affix in
position by tightening the star screw (Fig. 12/Item 12).
4.4. Checking the level of the hydraulic oil
Remove the oil filler/gauge screw (Fig. 16/Item 14).
Clean the oil dipstick at the oil filler screw and check
the oil level by inserting the dipstick into the opening
in the oil filler screw. The oil level must be between
the two marks L and H on the oil dipstick (Fig. 17). To
top up or change the oil, please refer to section 10.

motor does not become excessively hot it may only
be operated for 40% of the cycle at the specified
rating and must then be allowed to idle for 60% of the
cycle.
6. Recommended size of the trunks for
splitting
Trunk holding capacity:
100-320 mm (diameter) x 150-1040 mm (length)
1. The trunk diameters given above are indicative
only.
Thin pieces of wood can be very difficult to split if
they contain knot holes or have very tough fibers.
On the other hand, it may be possible to split
thicker pieces of wood if they have smooth and
loose fibers.
2. Never attempt to force the wood splitter to split
excessively hard pieces of wood under cylinder
pressure for more than 5 seconds. Overheated
oil under pressure may cause damage to the
machine. It is very important that you stop the
machine if the wood splitter fails to split the wood
at the first attempt. Then turn the trunk through
90° and attempt to split it again. If the wood still
fails to split this means that it is too hard for the
capacity of the machine and must be removed to
avoid damaging the wood splitter.
