2. Position hands halfway down ends of table for good
leverage and spread the two sections apart.
(See Figure 3)
3. With hands on top of benches, push down toward
floor until the down latch automatically locks into
place. Table is ready for use. (See Figure 4)
NOTE: Significant downward force may be
required to lock the down latch during the first
use. The down latch can then be adjusted to
lock without as much force for subsequent uses.
Figure 3
ADJUSTING THE DOWN LATCH (OPTIONAL)
NOTE: Adjusting the down latch helps the table
to sit firmly on uneven floors.
1.
With the table opened to the in-use position, apply
weight onto bench top until center leg touches the
floor. (See Figure 5)
Figure 5
2. Continue applying weight. Using included Allen
wrench, turn the adjustment screw on the inside of
the center leg clockwise. Tighten down latch until it
cannot be released by hand. Back off 1/8" turn with
Allen wrench. (See Figures 6a-6b)

3. To test down latch, push down on benches and
release down latch on center post by hand.
(See Figure 7)
Figure 7
4. Hold latch in released position and slowly lift table
one to two inches. Remove hand from latch and lift
table into a partially folded position.
NOTE: Spring assists will help lift table to this
position.
5. Push benches back down to open table to the
in-use position. Verify down latch locks table by
pulling up lightly on center of table or benches.
Table should rise no more than 1/2".
6. Retest release to verify smooth operation.
NOTE: Lubricate down latch strike area
regularly to maintain smooth operation.
CLOSING TABLE FOR STORAGE
1.
Push down on benches while disengaging down
latch on center post using foot. (See Figure 8)
Figure 8
2. Grasp benches directly over center. A brisk lift
upward achieves the initial closing action.
(See Figure 9)
