After use of the telescope
• Close it until stop.
• Put the objective and ocular lens caps back on.
• In order to protect the cover glass in the bayonet
fitting, leave the eyepiece mounted and protect
it by putting on its protective cap or close the
bayonet fitting with the cover provided for this
purpose.
Lens-cleaning cloth
You can clean high sensitive lens surfaces with
the enclosed special cloth made of micro-fibres. It
is suitable for objective lens, ocular lens and eye-
glasses.
Please keep the cloth clean, as dirt can damage
the lens surface. If the cloth gets dirty, it can be
washed in luke-warm soapy water and air-dried.
Please use it exclusively for cleaning lens sur-
faces!

Cleaning
On account of the functional principle of all
exten-dable telescopes from any manufacturer, an
exten-dable telescope never can be tight. When
pulling out, air must enter into the instrument.
A built-in filter protects the interior against dirt.
When closing the instrument, particular attention
should be paid that possibly no dirt or humidity will
remain on the extension tubes.
This assists the cleaning function of the built-in
sealing rings. Despite these precautions, the inte-
rior may show, after long year of use, dirt on the
optical surface. For such rare cases, Swarovski
Optik is providing a cleaning service.
With large temperature changes, the objective may
show – when pulling out the telescope – some con-
densation on the inside surface. Normally, such a
condensation should disappear after a short while.
If not, it is recommendable to pull out/push in the
telescope several times at normal room tempera-
ture.
This will make the condensation to disappear. If
not, please consider this to be a hint for a neces-
sary cleaning service as aforementioned.
We have designed all elements and surfaces
to require little care. To ensure the long-lasting
optical brilliance of your telescope, you should
keep the glass surfaces free of dirt, oil and grease.
When cleaning the lenses, first remove larger parti-
cles with an optical lens brush. For the subsequent
thorough cleaning we recommend breathing onto
the lens surface to form a coat of condensation
and then cleaning it with a soft, moist cloth.
