5.8.2 Relay terminals (input and relay modules)
With the relay terminals on the input modules (A1, A2 and fault (F1)) and relay
modules (RL1 to RL8), a switching function can be provided for remote alarm units
such as alarms, fans or other safety equipment. When connecting external units,
observe the following:
– Rated voltage and nominal current of the relay contacts are shown in the
technical data.
– Use shielded or non-shielded cable for the relay outputs.
– If an internal supply is required to operate the external unit, use an output from
the power supply unit (PSU).
