Inspections and regular maintenance are key for the proper operation of the genera
tor. The generator is composed of a diesel engine, an alternator, a control panel and
a metallic structure, among others. Turn off the generator before maintenance is
performed. If the generator must be running during the procedure, make sure it is
located in a well-ventilated area. Combustion gases are poisonous as they contain
carbon monoxide. After using the generator, it must be immediately cleaned to
avoid corrosion and built-up of sediments.
- For the correct operation and long useful life of the equipment, cleaning
and regular maintenance are key.
