Can I use my headset on a plane?
No. Any wireless/RF device can not be used on an airplane.
How long (approximately) should it take to fully charge my headset?
It should take approximately 2 hours to charge your headset. The LED will turn green as
charging nears completion, and a trickle charge will continue for an additional 22
minutes.
What happens if the signal from the headset to the receiver is lost?
A lost signal between the headset and receiver could be caused either by a low battery or
if the receiver is out of the headset's range. If this occurs, return the headset to within 10
feet of the receiver. If the battery is low, re-charge the headset and receiver at your next
opportunity.
Should the headset be stored in the charger and charging while not in use?
It can be. No damage will occur by storing the unit in the case. The charge will stop if the
headset is fully charged, so it is fine to store the headset in the charger.
Does it matter if phone is off or on while attaching the receiver?
No. If the phone is off, there will be no data to transfer to the headset and no data from
the headset can be transferred to the phone. When the phone is turned on it will detect
that the receiver is present and everything will work fine.
What phones are my cordless headset compatible with?
You need the receiver that works with your particular mobile phone. There are two items
to look at when determining which receiver and headset you'll need. First is the
manufacturer, and second is the model. For example, if you own a Nokia® 5160 mobile
phone, you'll need the appropriate Nokia® receiver and headset, since that receiver and
headset supports all 5100 series Nokia® phones.
What if my phone doesn't support the multi-function button?
Unfortunately, not all 2.5mm phones will support the multi-function button on your
headset. If this is the case, simply use your mobile phone to answer and end calls. All
phones will support the volume control feature. The multi-function button can still be
used to power on/off your headset.
Where should I place the mini-boom?
For optimal audio quality, place the microphone at the end of the mini-boom as close to
your mouth as possible, and adjust it to approximately 2 cm away from your face.

Does my Ericsson® receiver have a battery?
No, the Ericsson® receiver actually draws power from the mobile phone and does not have
its own battery. Therefore, the receiver will not need to be re-charged. However, the
Ericsson® headset does have a battery and will need to be re-charged. The receiver can still
be stored in the carrying case.
Is there a power saving mode for my headset?
Yes. If the headset is not used for 5 minutes, the device will turn itself off to conserve
power.
Is the signal from my headset to my mobile phone private?
Yes. Each headset and receiver are assigned a unique identification number. This unique ID
is part of the signal from the headset to receiver. The process of encoding the signal and
assigning each packet an ID unique to the headset protects the user from having their
signal intercepted.
What if there is interference or a poor signal on my headset?
Refer to the LED color chart on page 7 for information about what the LED colors mean.
That will help you determine what could be causing the problem. There are a few things
that could be happening:
1. Your headset is too far away from your phone and receiver. You need to be within 10
feet of your phone.
2. Your headset or receiver could be low on power. If this is the case, simply re-charge
them.
3. You may be in a location where there's a strong signal interfering with your headset's
signal. In this case you will probably have to change locations until the interference is
no longer a problem.
