1. If you are using a power distribution bus (PDB),
plug the equipment into the appropriate UPS
output receptacles using the interconnect cords
supplied with the IBM rack.
NOTE DO NOT protect laser printers with the UPS because of
the exceptionally high power requirements of the heating
elements.
If you are using two PDBs for redundancy, plug in
the equipment as shown.
2. Plug the output power cord (IEC 320-C13 to C-14)
into the output connector on the UPS rear panel.
3. Plug the other end of the output power cord into
the PDB.
NOTE If you are using more than one UPS in a rack, verify that
the UPS output power cords are plugged into separate PDBs.
