Switching on in stand-by mode

Tap the shutter release
The mode that was used last is stored after
manual as well as automatic switch-off and is
available again immediately after switching the
unit back on.
Please note:
• When used as a secondary flash (SLAVE
mode), the automatic switch-off is not
active.
• Ca. one hour after the last use, the flash
unit shuts itself off completely.
• If the flash unit is not required for a longer
period, it should always be turned off with
the main switch.

Auto-focus auxiliary light

If the available lighting conditions are no
longer adequate for automatic focussing, then
the white video LED is used by the camera
automatically as an AF auxiliary light. It
flashes repeatedly for that purpose.
Requirements:
- The camera that is used has an auto-focus
function.
- The auto-focus function of the camera or
alternatively one of its AF variations is swit-
ched on.
- The camera that is used transmits a suitable
signal via the hot shoe.
- The Leica SF 26 must be ready to flash.
Please note:
You can find information on the range in the
table on page 65.
