TROUBLESHOOTING

If, at some time, the flash unit does not work
correctly:
Switch off the flash unit for ca. 10 seconds.
Check to make sure the foot of the flash unit
is seated correctly in the hot shoe of the
camera.
Check the camera settings.
Replace the batteries or rechargeable batte-
ries with new batteries or fully recharged
batteries.
The flash unit should now operate normally
when switched on. If this is not the case, then
contact your dealer.
Below is a list of some problems that may
occur when using the flash unit. Possible
causes or alternatively remedies for the pro-
blems are given under the respective items.
The AF auxiliary light of the flash unit is
not activated.
• The flash unit is not flash-ready.
• The camera is not switched to auto-focus
mode.
• The camera only supports its own internal
AF auxiliary light.
Some cameras support the AF auxiliary light
in the flash unit only with the camera's
central AF sensor. If you have selected the
decentralised AF sensors, then it will not be
activated.
Activate the central AF sensor.
The shots are too bright.
• Certain minimum lighting distances must be
maintained for close-up shots to avoid overex-
posure. The minimum distance from the
subject should be at least 10% of the
maximum range.
