Preparation for start-up

DANGER: The operations described below must be carried out exclusively by
qualified and specifically trained operators. The Manufacturer declines all liability for
operations performed in violation of the safety prescriptions, by unqualified
operators, or without complying with the instructions given in this manual.
CAUTION: During the activities the operator must wear all the necessary personal
protective equipment (PPE).
Before bringing the nearly completed machine to steady-state operating conditions several
preliminary checks must be carried out at the time of start-up.
Compressor crankcase pre-heating
At least 12 hours before starting the compressors the associated crankcase heaters must be
powered on to eliminate the risk of the lubricating oil being diluted with refrigerant.
CAUTION: Check once again that the refrigerant circuit and electrical circuit have
been constructed correctly, checking in particular to ensure the various units have
been correctly connected to earth. Check that the shut-off valves on the refrigerant
circuit are open and that the diverter valves toward the exterior are all closed and
equipped with protective caps.
Make sure all panels are securely closed
Check that the panels of the nearly completed machine structure are correctly positioned, closed,
and secured with their fastening systems.

Storage

In case it were necessary to store the partly completed machinery for a certain time before
installing it, we recommend that you protect it adequately and store it in a suitable environment,
having the following characteristics:
outer surfaces resistant to atmospheric agents;
protected against the access of unauthorized persons;
and having the following environmental conditions:
good ventilation;
o
room temperature ranging between -20 °C and +50 °C;
o
relative humidity of the compressed air ranging between 30% and 80%;
o
CAUTION: Do not remove the packing that is possibly provided for certain
components of the partly completed machinery or adopt appropriate precautions to
protect the parts exposed.

Deinstallation

In the case that it is necessary to deinstall the partly completed machinery, perform the installation
sequence described in Paragraph 4.4 - "Installation" in reverse sequence.
