Mounting the first bicycle:
Notes
Mount heavier bicycles closer to the vehicle and lighter bicycles (e.g.
children's bicycles) further towards the rear of the rear-mounted bicycle
rack.
Do not transport bicycles with a carbon frame on the rear-mounted
bicycle rack. Otherwise, the carbon frame may be damaged.
Observe the pedal position of the first bicycle in order to avoid a collision
between the pedal and the vehicle. The vehicle could otherwise be
damaged.
Only secure the bicycle carrier to the bicycle frame. Make sure no other
components, e.g. brake and gear cables, can become trapped.Replace
defective brackets immediately.
For the first bicycle, the short bicycle carrier (6) is used.
1. Unlock handle (17) with key (9).
2. Unscrew handle (17) until clamp (18) is open approximately as wide
as your hand.
3. If necessary, open tensioning strap (15).
4. Position the bicycle centrally on rail (19) and secure it against
tipping.
5. Press clamp (18) together and hold so that bracket (20) opens. Align
bracket (20) at a suitable position on rear-mounted bicycle rack (1)
and release clamp (18).
6. Align clamp (18) at a suitable position on the bicycle frame. Screw
down clamp (17) until clamp (18) is closed.
7. Lock clamp (17) with key (9) and remove key (9).
Important
Make sure that the tensioning straps for mounting the bicycle are
aligned at an angle to the rail. Only in this way can the bicycle be
correctly secured on the rail.
When tightening the tensioning straps, ensure that the tyres
and/or wheel rims are not damaged.
8. Feed tensioning strap (15) centrally between two of the wheel
spokes and into the clasp, then tighten using tensioning lever (21).

Mounting another bicycle:
Further bicycles are mounted in the same way. Bicycles must be
mounted facing in opposite directions.
The second bicycle is mounted using long bracket (7).
The third and fourth bicycles are mounted using medium bicycle
carrier (8). The third bicycle is secured to the second bicycle and the
fourth bicycle is secured to the third bicycle.
Removing the bicycles
Have a second person assist you with the removal of the bicycles. Secure
the bicycles against slipping/tipping.
Follow the same steps in reverse order to remove the bicycles.
Note
Tensioning straps (15) are under tension when tightened. To release
them, it may be necessary to pull strongly on unlocking mechanism (14).
