The TwinLED is a spotlight and therefore ideally suited for glass/metal bonds up to a diameter of
approx. 120 mm (4-3/4").
The operator can choose between two wave lengths. A wavelength of 365nm is used for UVA curing
adhesives (e.g. B 665-0, B 682-T, LV740, MV760, B 690-0). UVA permeable glass types such as float glass or
tempered glass can also be used. A wavelength of 395nm is used for light curing adhesives (e.g. LV740VIS,
MV760VIS, 420VIS) when working with UVA absorbing glass (e.g. laminated safety glass) and transparent
plastics.
Depending on the wavelength, the TwinLED offers four different timer functions. The timer functions help to
precisely control and monitor the curing of the adhesives.
Stopwatch ("Stop")
In the stopwatch function, no specific time is previously set. The time is counted and the LED can be
switched on or off at any time. Once it has been stopped, the stopwatch will resume counting the time from
the value last measured unless it is reset to zero. After a maximum of 10 minutes of permanent operation,
the LED will switch off automatically.
Single Timer ("Single")
With this function a single curing time (max. 10 minutes) can be fixed after which the LED will switch off
automatically.
Once the adjusted time has expired, the timer automatically returns to the previously set time.
Pre- / Final Curing ("Pre" and "End")
These two timer functions are linked to each other. In this way pre and final curing can be done one after
the other without having to set new times. After the time set for pre-curing has expired, the LED switches
off and TwinLED automatically changes to the time set for final curing. Accordingly, final curing can be done
immediately after cleaning the bond. In this case, the LED switches off automatically once the adjusted time
has expired. TwinLED then changes back into the pre-curing mode again. The next pre-curing session can be
done.
