Maintenance instructions
·
To ensure satisfactory operation the ball rod and locating sleeve must always be clean.
·
Contact surfaces and sliding surfaces are to be regularly greased with resin-free grease. Treat lock with graphite only.
·
When cleaning the vehicle with a steam cleaner, the ball rod must be removed and the sealing plug fitted. Do not clean ball rod
with steam cleaner, as the internal grease necessary for lubrication will be washed away.

Introduction
Designation of the ball rod:
PLEASE NOTE!
Never use additional appliances or tools for attaching or detaching the ball rod. This may damage the locking mechanism
of the ball rod, and safe use of the trailer coupling may no longer be guaranteed. The trailer coupling may only be operated
when the key is removed. This ensures that the ball rod is locked correctly. Failure to do so heightens the accident risk!
It is possible to attach and detach the ball rod with normal hand strength!
Operating instructions:
·
Read these operating instructions carefully before using the trailer coupling!
·
Do not carry out any alterations or repairs to the ball rod or its vicinity!
·
If difficulties or problems arise while handling the device, contact your authorised repair shop!
·
Check that the ball rod is correctly locked every time you start a trip!
·
When driving the vehicle the lock must be locked and the key removed!
·
Please make sure that the minimum weight carried by the towing vehicle is not less than 4%
of the actual total weight of the trailer; however, it does not have to be more than 25kg.
·
Never unlock the ball rod while the trailer is hitched to the vehicle!
Key replacement
Note key number before first use. In case of damage or loss you may order a substitute key from the manufacturer of the trailer
coupling.
