nstructions for coMbustion air systeM
We recommend installing the fresh air system before installing the soapstone set, as the soapstone set
would otherwise have to be removed before installing the fresh air system.
Fresh air connection through the rear plate:
1. Lift off the front (1) of the heat storage compartment.
2. Lift off the bottom plate (2) and cross bracing (3).
3. Lift off the internal rear plate (4).
4. Attach the gasket (5) to the edge of the rear plate (6) and to the separator plate (7).
5. Mount the connector bush (8) in the hole (9) on the rear plate from the inside of the rear plate.
Attach the connector bush from the outside using three self-tapping screws (10).
6. Reattach the rear plate to the stove. Place the rear plate on the guide pins at the back of the
bottom plate of the stove; then press it in towards the stove. Lift the rear plate and press it lightly
inwards until it engages with the guide pins.
7. Pull the insulation sleeve (11) on to the flexi-hose (12).
8. Break off both the pre cut round plates (13 + 14) on the convection air grill. Sand down any sharp
pins left behind after the plates have been broken off so that they do not make holes in the insula-
tion sleeve. Carefully pull the convection air grill on to the flexi-hose and insulation sleeve at the
end that will be attached to the connector bush.
9. Attach the clamp (15) loosely to the flexi-hose at the end that will be attached to the connector
bush.
10. Attach the flexi-hose to the connector bush (8) and tighten with the clamp until fixed.
11. Attach a cable binder (16) to the insulation sleeve to keep it in a position close to the internal
rear plate. Be careful not to tighten it too much.
Fresh air connection through the bottom plate:
8. Place the two bottom slabs (17 + 18) over the hole in the floor and place the stove on top so
that it is in the right position – remember to observe the distance-to-wall requirements. Lead the
flexi-hose through the hole in the floor.
