SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS AND REGULATIONS To ensure optimal working and safety conditions, please read the following sections carefully One of the fundamental factors in safety is adherence to the maintenance frequency (see maintenance table). In addition, never attempt to carry out repairs or maintenance opera- tions, if you are lacking experience and/or the tools required ELECTROCUTION During use, generator sets output electrical power.

FIRE Never fill with fuel when the generator set is in operation or when the motor is hot. - Clean all traces of fuel with a clean cloth. - Petrol is extremely flammable and its fumes are explosive. It is prohibited to smoke, approach a flame or produce sparks while the tank is being filled.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION - A leaking exhaust silencer may cause an increase in the noise level of the generator set. To ensure its efficiency, examine the exhaust silencer regularly. - Never drain or dispose of oil on the ground, but in a container provided for this purpose (petrol stations can retrieve used oil).

WARNING The motor must not run in environments with explosive substances, since not all the electrical and mechanical components are shielded, sparks are liable to be produced. The fuel filter must be replaced on a cold motor to prevent any risk of fire following projec- tions of fuel.
1. DESCRIPTION This generator set consists of an air-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-stroke petrol thermal mo- tor, directly driving a generator producing 230V AC current. The off-load running speed is approximately 3120 rpm, equivalent to an on-load speed of 3000 rpm. The current frequency is 50 Hz. GENERAL TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS POWER GENERATING UNIT 1-Fuel tank...

DANGER: Never connect the generator set earthing wire to piping. In addition, the piping is carrying flammable substances such as gas or fuel oil, there is always a risk of a fire or explosion in the event of a short-circuit RECEIPT AND HANDLING On receipt of your generator set, check that the equipment is in good condition and that your order is complete.
ASSEMBLY AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE PREPARATION FOR COMMISSIONING (BEFORE START-UP) 1. CHECKING OIL LEVEL AND TOPPING UP OIL The oil should be checked and topped up with the generator placed on a horizontal sur- face. -Remove the dipstick cap (2) by unscrewing it. -Inspect the level and top up if required (if it is not necessary to top up, refasten the dips- tick cap: the operation is then complete).

LOCATION FOR USE Place the generator set on a horizontal, plane surface, which is sufficiently resistant so that the generator does not sink. - The angle of the generator, in each direction, must never exceed 10° or 13%. -Choose a clean, well-ventilated place, sheltered from adverse weather conditions. -Provide for oil and petrol supplies in the vicinity of the point of use of the generator, while observing a certain safety distance.

GENERATOR SET OVERLOAD Never exceed the rated power capacity (Amperes and/or Watts) during continuous ope- ration. Before connecting and running the generator set, calculate the electrical power consumption of the electrical equipment (in Watts or Amperes). This electrical power (in Watts and/or Amperes) is generally found on the identification plate of bulbs, electrical ap- pliances, motors, etc.
Operating the generator set When the generator has stabilised its speed (1 min), connect the male connector(s) into the female connector of the AC generator. Depending on the model, check that the circuit breaker is engaged. From this moment, you can use your electrical equipment Shutting down the generator set Disconnect the connectors to allow the motor to run off-load for 1 or 2 min.
AIR FILTER MAINTENANCE CLEAN THE FILTER EVERY 100 HOURS OR EACH SEASON -Unfasten the screws from the cover of the air filter (12). -Remove the cover and the complete air filter from the base. -Remove the complete air filter from the cover Cartridge maintenance : a.

CLEANING THE GENERATOR SET CLEAN THE GENERATOR SET EVERY 100 HOURS OF OPERATION OR EACH YEAR, WHICHEVER IS FIRST . Remove all dust and debris around the exhaust silencer Clean the entire generator using a cloth and a brush (it is not recommended to wash with a water jet) (Clean the motor and AC generator inlets and outlets carefully.) Check the general condition of the generator and replace defective parts if required...
Maintenance schedule : Although a maintenance operation frequency is given in the maintenance schedule, please note that the environment in which the motor operates determines the maintenance sche- dule. Therefore, it is necessary to understand that, if the motor is working under extreme conditions, shorter intervals should be adopted between operations.

The generator sets to be stored for over 30 days must undergo special operations to en- sure their correct storage To protect the motor, we recommend the use of Briggs & Stratton petrol additive, Refe- rence No. 5041(see figure I), available for all approved distributors. Add the additive in the fuel tank or in a storage tank.
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE SYMPTOMS PROBABLE CAUSES CORRECTIVE ACTIONS Motor does not start or 1- Generator set placed on load during start- 1- Remove load shuts down 2-Petrol or oil dipstick too low.* 2- Fill with petrol or oil 3- Start-up control set to «OFF» 3- Set control to «ON»...
