1 - SPECIAL WARNINGS
• For personal safety, it is important to observe these instructions, which must be kept in a safe location for
future consultation.
• This manual contains important provisions for installation safety; incorrect installation procedures may lead to
serious hazards.
• Partial reading of these instructions will not enable users to fully exploit the product features.
The HSTT2N control receiver is designed for the control of a mains-powered single phase asynchronous
motor used for the automation of awnings, shutters and similar devices.
The HSTT2L control receiver is designed to control a mains-powered single phase electrical device, such as:
lamps, motors (On-Off control) and similar devices.
The receivers are compatible with the transmitters, keypads, detectors, and control panels in the Nice Home
Security system. Any use other than as specified in this manual is to be considered improper and is strictly pro-
hibited.
2 - PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The receivers HSTT2L and HSTT2N incorporate a radio receiver
operating on the frequency of 433.92 MHz with rolling code technol-
ogy to guarantee optimal safety levels. The HSTT2L receiver also fea-
tures a capacity to memorise up to 64 control devices (32 on the
HSTT2N receiver) such as: transmitters HSTX4 or HSTX8, detectors,
keypads or control panels that enable remote control of the receiver.
After each command, the receiver output is activated in a set mode
according to the programming and device sending the command.
see tables 1 and 3 for HSTT2L and table 5 for HSTT2N. The receiver
also has an input for control via an external wired pushbutton.
Memorisation and programming procedures are possible via the pro-
gramming pushbutton (fig. 1) on HSTT2L and HSTT2N; a series of
led indicators guides the user through the various phases.
3 - INSTALLATION
3.1 - Warnings
• Caution! – The product contains parts subject to hazardous voltage levels.
• Installation of the HSTT2L and HSTT2N receivers and control devices must be performed by qualified tech-
nical personnel in observance of these instructions and local standards and legislation. All electrical con-
nections must be made with the unit disconnected from the mains power supply.
• The receivers HSTT2L and HSTT2N are designed to be inserted in junction boxes or wall boxes; the housing
does not protect against the ingress of liquids but only ensures basic protection against contact with solid
parts. Never position the receiver in areas with inadequate protection.
• Never open or drill the housing; do not cut the aerial cable under any circumstances: this cable is subject to
hazardous voltage levels!
3.2 – Preliminary checks
– Ensure that the power line is protected by means of an adequate thermal magnetic cut-out device and resid-
ual current circuit breaker.
– Ensure that there is a power disconnect device (with overvoltage category III, i.e. a gap between contacts of
at least 3.5 mm) or equivalent system, for example socket and relative plug. If the power disconnect device
is not in the vicinity of the automation, fit a block system against possible inadvertent or unauthorised con-
nection.
3.3 – Electrical connections
Warnings
– Strictly observe all envisaged connections; if in any doubt, do NOT attempt in vain; always refer to the rela-
tive technical datasheets, also available on the web site: www.niceforyou.com. Incorrect connections can
cause faults or hazardous situations.
– The receivers HSTT2L and HSTT2N do not envisage any protection against overload or short circuits on the
