APPLICATIONS
You may use this product for the purposes listed below:
 Driving nuts and bolts using an impact rated socket
SWITCH TRIGGER
See Figure 2, page 11.
To turn the product ON, depress the switch trigger. To turn
it OFF, release the switch trigger.
REVERSIbLE
See Figure 2, page 11.
The impact wrench has a rocker-type switch trigger for
operating the wrench in forward or reverse. To operate the
wrench in a forward direction, depress the lower half of the
switch. To operate the wrench in reverse, depress the upper
half of the switch.
To stop the wrench, release the switch trigger and allow the
motor to come to a complete stop.
NOTICE:
To prevent gear damage, always allow the anvil to come
to a complete stop before changing the direction of
rotation.

OPERATION

INSTALLING AND REMOVING SOCkETS
See Figure 3, page 11.
Use only sockets designed for impact wrenches. Always
select the correct size impact socket for nuts and bolts.
NOTICE:
Using the wrong size socket may damage the nut or
bolt and cause the fastening torque to be inaccurate or
inconsistent.
 Unplug the tool.
 Push the socket onto the anvil until the detent pin locks
it into place.
 To remove the socket, pull it away from the anvil.
OPERATING THE IMPACT WRENCH
See Figure 4, page 11.
Proper fastening torque may be determined by the kind of
bolt, the size of the bolt, the material, or the workpiece. It is
helpful to perform a test operation to determine the proper
fastening time for the nut or bolt you are using. While per-
forming the test, make note of the speed selection.
 Slide the socket over the nut or bolt.
 Depress the switch and fasten for the proper fastening
time.
 Remove the impact wrench from the nut or bolt.
 Check the torque with a torque wrench.
NOTICE:
Do not use this tool to install lug nuts on wheels without
a torque limiting device. Doing so could result in galled
or broken lugs.
IMPACT TIME
Many variables exist that will cause the available torque of
the fastener to vary considerably.
NOTE: Using a universal joint or extension bar may reduce
the fastening force of the impact wrench and require longer
fastening time.
NOTICE:
After the head of a nut or bolt has seated, additional
impacting will increase the chance of shearing bolts, nuts,
sockets or tearing into wood.
