passed on to a third party, ensure that the
instructions are included.
Field of application
The Electromatic brush vacuums and brushes
carpets when connected to the vacuum
cleaner. It is particularly suitable for removing
dust, fluff, threads and hair.
It noticeably refreshes trodden down carpet
pile.
The Electromatic brush can also be used on
hard flooring.
Use as directed
This Electromatic brush is intended for use in
the home and not for industrial purposes.
The Electromatic brush must be used
exclusively in accordance with the specifications
stated in these instructions.
The manufacturer shall not be held liable for any
damages which arise from a use which is not as
directed or has been caused by an incorrect
operation.
Therefore, please ensure that the following
information is observed and heeded at all times!
Only use original spare parts.
The Electromatic brush is not suitable for:
vacuuming persons or animals
vacuuming:
- small creatures (e.g. flies, spiders, ...)
- substances which can have adverse affects
on one's health or sharp-edged, hot or red-
hot substances.
- damp or liquid substances.
- easily flammable or explosive materials and
gases.
Safety information
This Electromatic brush complies with the
recognised regulations of technology and the
relevant safety directives. We hereby confirm the
conformity with the following European
guidelines: 89/336/EEC (changed by RL
91/263/EEC, 92/31/EEC and 93/68/EEC).
72/23/EEC (changed by RL 93/68/EEC).
Never use a damaged Electromatic brush.
Only connect and operate the Electromatic
brush in accordance with the operating
instructions. In the event of a fault, disconnect
the Electromatic brush from the vacuum
cleaner => pull out the mains plug.
Do not reach into the running brush roller.
Do not drive over the supply while the brush
roller is running.

Do not leave the turbo brush standing on the
carpet when the brush roller is rotating, it
must be kept moving (could damage the pile).
Any repair work or replacement of spare parts
must only be carried out by an authorised
customer services department.
Do not vacuum with the brush in the
immediate vicinity of the head area.
Protect the Electromatic brush from external
weather conditions, humidity and any heat
sources.
Children must only use the electric appliances
under supervision.
Only use the socket on the vacuum cleaner
for the intended accessories. Pull out the
mains plug prior to connecting these
appliances.
Wool or velour carpets, particularly those with
a loose pile, should only be cleaned
occasionally with the turbo brush, must leave
sufficient intervals in between.
Pull out the mains plug after vacuuming.

Do not leave the running Electromatic brush in
the immediate vicinity of long hair, scarves,
ties etc..
Information regarding disposal
Packaging
The packaging protects the Electromatic
brush from becoming damaged during
transportation. It is made of environmentally
friendly materials and can therefore be
recycled. Dispose of any unwanted packaging
materials at the collection point for the
recycling system "Green Point".
Second-hand appliances
Second-hand appliances still contain many
valuable materials. Therefore, give your
second-hand Electromatic brush to your
dealer or to a recycling centre to be recycled.
Ask your dealer or your local government about
the current methods of disposal and the location
of recycling centres in your area.

Starting up
Electromatic brush with supply

Push the telescopic pipe into the supports of
the Electromatic brush until it audibly
engages. Press the unlocking sleeve and pull
out the telescopic pipe to remove it.

Insert the connection cable into the socket of
the vacuum cleaner. When the vacuum
cleaner is switched on, the Electromatic brush
also switches on automatically.
Evenly distribute the cable clips on the
connection cable and on the telescopic pipe
and then clip on the suction hose.

Push the telescopic pipe onto the supports of
the Electromatic brush until it audibly
engages.
In doing so, ensure that the plug section on
the telescopic pipe pushes into the respective
recess on the supports of the Electromatic
brush.
The electrical contact to the vacuum cleaner
is then created. When the vacuum cleaner is
switched on, the Electromatic brush switches
on automatically.
Press the unlocking sleeve and pull out the
telescopic pipe to remove it.
Vacuuming with the brush
In order to achieve the best possible cleaning
effect, slowly push the Electromatic brush
backwards and forwards.

Please observe!
The Electromatic brush is not suitable for
vacuuming high-quality, hand-woven carpets
(e.g. Berber, Persian etc..), or extremely long-
pile carpets and carpet flooring.

Only brush the fringes in the direction of the
arrow.
Maintenance
The motor will switch off automatically if brush
roller becomes blocked because a bulky foreign
object has been sucked up, or fringes have
wrapped around the roller.
Always switch off the vacuum cleaner and pull
out the plug before performing any maintenance
work. The Electromatic brush will switch on
again when the blockage has been remedied, 1
minute waiting time is allowed for and then the
electricity supply will be restored again.

Cut off any wrapped around hair or threads
using a pair of scissors.

Then vacuum up the threads and hair using
the corner nozzle.
Care
Switch off the vacuum cleaner and pull out
the mains plug before cleaning the
Electromatic brush. The Electromatic brush
can then be cleaned using a conventional
plastics cleaner.

Do not use any scouring agents, glass or all-
purpose cleaners. Never immerse the
Electromatic brush in water.
