Problem
Moisture forms on
outside of appliance
Frost or moisture
collects inside
Interior light does
not operate
Hot air from bottom
of appliance
off but temperatures
are OK
Possible Causes
Not unusual during periods
of high humidity.
Door left open.
Too frequent or too long
door openings.
In humid weather, air carries
moisture into appliance when
door is opened.
Temperature control set at
coldest setting.
Appliance is unplugged.
The circuit breaker is tripped/
the fuse is blown.
Light bulb needs replacing.
GFI outlet is tripped.
Normal air flow cooling motor.
Adaptive defrost keeps
compressor running during
door openings.
What To Do
• If bothersome, wipe surface dry; otherwise, moisture
will evaporate in time.
• Always make sure that the door is closed after opening.
• Check to see if a bottle is holding door open.
• Appliance will dissipate moisture in time.
