Power supply: 9V alkaline battery type GP1604A or similar - Consumption: 16uA in
stand by, 40mA in alarm – Average autonomy approx. 24 months, with low battery local
indication (LED flashing at every alarm) and transmission to the control panel.
Functions: 1) Volumetric alarm: human movement within the protected area (see
pictures) starts the alarm according to the sensibility set. 2) Other alarm: the opening
of the contact on the terminal board starts the alarm transmission. It is also possible that
the alarm transmission has a different code: in this way it is possible to recognize in the
control panel the two different reasons for the alarm transmission, supposed that the
two sensors have been programmed in a different way (see dip-switch). If you use a fast
contact the impulse counter must be inserted, setting dip-switch 3 in ON.
3) Supervision: every 40 minutes approx. the device transmits a signal to the control
panel meaning that it is working correctly.
4) Self-protection: the opening of the battery box and the removal of the sensor starts
a tamper alarm. Set the control panel in TEST mode before changing the battery.
5) Test: with battery box open every detection causes an alarm displayed by the LED,
thus allowing to check radio range (copertura intesa come portata radio) of the
appliance.
LED indications and checks: the LED switching on confirms every alarm. The LED
flashing after an alarm means "low battery": change the battery only if this indication is
displayed on the control panel as well. Attention: after an alarm of the infrared sensor
(function 1) there will be no others before 2 minutes of complete calm in the area.
Radio transmissions: digital in contemporaneous double frequency Dual Band, factory
coded and managed through self learning from microprocessor - features and power
according to law - radio emission range covered: 100m in open air and in total absence
of radio noises on the bands. The same may sensibly decrease indoors, depending on
the position of the devices with regard to the structure of the rooms and/or presence of
radio noises on the bands. Before making final installation, make sure that the radio
ranges are sufficient.
Dip switch - program before supplying the device – for modifications, take the
battery out and then insert it again:
1 ON
= maximum range, approx. 7 m
1 OFF
= minimum range, approx. 4 m
2 ON
= transmission of two different codes for alarm coming from the
infra-red sensor or the terminal board
2 OFF
= transmission of a common code for both alarms.
3 ON
= alarm transmission after 6 fast impulses on NC input on the terminal board
