Please note.
Only wear medical compression stockings
after consulting your physician. By wear-
ing your stockings on a daily basis and by
undergoing regular medical check-ups you
will ensure the success of your treatment!
The stockings should be dispensed by trained
specialist personnel. Your specialist medical
supplier will also advise you on how to put
on your compression stockings correctly.

General information
while wearing the stockings, see your physi-
cian without delay. We check our products
on the basis of a comprehensive quality
control programme. Should you still have
grounds for complaint, please consult your
specialist supplier. Do not repair any dam-
age yourself, but return the stocking to the
specialist supplier you bought it from. Fiber
pilling that can form due to friction with
other clothing does not reduce the stocking's
quality.
Taking care of your stockings
The product is suitable for immediate use.
Our recommendation: wash before wearing
for the fi rst time. Wash the stockings sepa-
rately with a mild detergent without fabric
softener (eg "Ofa Clean Special Detergent")
at a maximum temperature of 40° C and
rinse them well. This may be followed by a

gentle spin cycle at low speed but do not
wring them out. Air dry your stockings or
use the delicates setting on the dryer but
do not put them on the radiator or in direct
sunlight. Never iron your stockings. To retain
the medical effi cacy of your stockings, do
not use chemical detergents, petrol or fabric
softener. These substances attack the knit-
ted fabric. Compression stockings are to a
large extent resistant to oils and creams but
should not be in contact with ointments.
Stockings with silicon grip tops should in
general not be in contact with solvents, oint-
ments and moisturizing washing lotions and
body cream. The adhesiveness of the grip
tops can otherwise be permanently adversely
affected. Store the stockings in a dry place
out of the sun and away from heat, if pos-
sible in their original packaging.
Contra indications
Absolute contra indications:
– Advanced peripheral vascular
disease
– Congestive heart failure
– Septic phlebitis
– Phlegmasia coerulea dolens
Relative contra indications:
– Oozing dermatoses
– Incompatibility with compression
stocking material
– Serious sensory disturbances of
the limbs
– Advanced peripheral
neuropathy(eg diabetes mellitus)
– Chronic polyarthritis

Risks and side effects
Ill-fi tting compression stockings
can cause skin necrosis, neural
pressure damage on peripheral
nerves and deep vein thrombosis
of the leg. In rare cases medical
compression stockings can cause
allergic reactions.
Guarantee
The life of a compression stock-
ing is with appropriate storaging
limited to 3 years. With regular
use and proper care the lifespan
is limited to 6 months. After this
period of time has elapsed the
products are excluded from liabil-
ity. In principle, excluded from all
liability are defects that are attrib-
utable to common wear and tear
or improper use. Improper use also
covers subsequent changes to the
product that were not undertaken
by the manufacturers of the prod-
uct. The product is intended for use
by a single patient. Is it passed on
to another person for further use,
the manufacturer shall be absolved
of all liability.
