rial, which is located on the bottom of the chin guard, offers gradual 3-position adjustment:
A) Closed.
B) Air directed onto the visor to limit fogging and condensation.
C) Air coming towards the face and onto the visor.
• WIND PROTECTOR / BREATH DEFLECTOR
These accessories allow to improve the helmet performances in particular use conditions.
The wind protector prevents annoying air infiltration from the chin area (see Fig. 14 for
assembly and disassembly).
The breath deflector prevents the visor misting by diverting the breath flow downward (see
Fig. 15 for assembly and disassembly).
ATTENTION!!!
The wind protector and breath deflector are easily removable. The correct assembling of
these accessories can be checked by pulling them slightly with your thumb and forefinger.
If they move, then repeat the assembling operations.
• NOISE REDUCER
The cheek pads are ready, in the auricular area, for the insertion of NOISE REDUCER
plugs (standard supplied) that can be easily pressure-inserted or removed, leaving the ear
free (Fig. 16).
• VISION PROTECTION SYSTEM (VPS)
The new and exclusive Vision Protection System (VPS) is a
-moulded, antiscratch-
treated sunscreen positioned on the outside of the visor. Using it is very simple and prac-
tical: just pull it down or up to activate/exclude it from the field of vision. Useful in all sorts
of situations, whether it's on long journeys out of town, or shorter trips about town. The
innovative rotating mechanism – synchronized with the opening of the visor – ensures per-
fect functioning in all riding conditions. The VPS is easy to remove when it is not needed,
or for normal maintenance and cleaning operations.
VPS OPERATION
The VPS is positioned on the outside of the visor and its operating mechanism has been
conceived to ensure that the sunscreen remains precautionary open when using the visor
in normal conditions. This means that the light transmittance guaranteed by the approved
visor of the helmet is not at all reduced.
The VPS mechanism also allows to activate the sunscreen by simply lowering it until it par-
tially covers the visor field of vision. In this way, the desired light transmittance reduction
is achieved. At any moment, with a simple movement and independently from the visor,
the VPS can be deactivated and pulled up to restore the normal visibility and protection
conditions guaranteed by the approved visor.
Even when not in use, the VPS can serve as a partial peak, helping to indirectly protect
the field of vision, e.g. if it rains slightly.
The VPS has been designed to ensure an easy, quick and tool-free disassembly. For this
reason, special auxiliary side covers are supplied for the assembly on the helmet in case
the VPS system is not present.
