Under all circumstances battery packs have to be handled in accordance with the
operation instructions. This applies especially for respecting the limits for mechanical
and thermal loads.
In no case battery packs may be modified or manipulated, as this might cause
significant safety hazards.
This can directly lead to critical situations but also has a negative effect with regard to
battery life.
Batteries must not be opened or heated to above +120°C or burned as being exposed to
the battery ingredients might be dangerous under certain conditions.
When the temperature of +120°C is exceeded there is the danger that batteries might
burst or possibly burn.
Fires involving lithium batteries can in general be fought with water. It is not necessary to
use additional or special extinguishing agents. The cooling effect of the water prevents
that the fire spreads to battery cells that have not yet reached the critical temperature for
ignition.
Danger! As for other batteries, this is also true for lithium batteries, they might represent
also in alleged discharged status a potential source of danger as they could provide a
very high short-circuit current. Too deep discharge leads to permanent damage. Fully
discharged battery packs may not be charged or operated again.
Overload and too high charging voltages might lead to bursting batteries.

Repair and maintenance:

Maintenance work must only be carried out by authorized electronic dealers and service
workshops!
It is not allowed to open the screws of the lamp and the lamp itself. Only use original
spare parts!
Storage:
The lamp and the accessories must be stored in a dark, dry and frost-free place with an
optimum storage temperature between +5°C and +30°C. Please store the lamp in the
original packaging.
Strong temperature differences should be avoided (e.g. do not store near heating, do not
expose to permanent sunlight)
Exceeding the storage temperature of +60°C might lead to accelerated aging and
premature loss of function.
Protect from humidity and water.
Environmental information, transport and disposal:
Batteries (rechargeable batteries) must not be disposed of with household waste!
According to the European Directive 2012/19/EU on old Electric and Electronic Devices
and the transposition into national law, old electric appliances must be separately
collected and taken to an environmentally compatible recycling
Disposal of the lamp through an authorized disposal centre or at a community waste
facility.
Please dispose of according to the national legal regulations! If in doubt, please contact
the authorized waste facility.
