Before Starting Operation
Mount the flash head on an appropriate light stand. Plug the AC cord into the power socket (3) an. Make sure that the flash head is switched off (ON/OFF power
switch (1) in position 0). Then plug the AC adapter into mains supply (220V). Now you can turn the flash head on by switching the ON/OFF power switch (1)
to position 1.
In case the LC display does not light up, please check the following:
1. Is the AC cord properly plugged in?
2. Is the fuse defect?
Warning!
If you need to change the fuse, make sure that the flash head is switched off and plug the
AC cord off mains supply! Do not touch the fuse with your bare hands!
Open the fuse compartment (4) using a suitable screw driver. Remove the fuse holder.

Exchange the fuse. Slide the fuse holder into the compartment (4) until it clicks closed.
In case the LC display still does not light up, contact your local DÖRR representative or mail to export@doerrfoto.de.
Spare fuses is included (see sketch).
WARNING! Do not open the flash head --> High Voltage !

Operation and Functions

b.) Acoustic Flash Ready Signal
When a flash is fired, it willl take a moment (depending on the selected flash power) until another flash can be released.
In addition to the visual flash ready indicator (f) you can activate/deactivate an acoustic signal.
Press the mode button (7) 1x, the symbol (a) on the LCD starts blinking.
Press the confirm button (5) to activate or deactivate the acoustic signal:
• fast blinking symbol (a) - acoustic signal deactivated
• slow blinking symbol (a) - acoustic signal activated
Once the symbol has stopped blinking you can see:
• a white frame around symbol (a) when the signal is activated
• no frame if the signal is not activated
c) Triggering via Photo Sensor (9)
The Smart Light LCD 300/ LCD 200 Flash Head can be released by an incorporated camera flash,
infrared flash or another flash head.
• Flash with various Flash Heads
Usually, one flash head is related to the camera and released by the camera's flash.
Further flash heads will be released via the photo sensor (9) simultaneously.
• Activate/Deactivate Flash Mode Functions
Press the mode button (7) 2x, the symbol (b) starts blinking on the LCD.
Press the confirm button (5) to activate or deactivate the function.
- fast blinking symbol (b) --> function deactivated
- slow blinking symbol (b) --> function is activated and the figures 1-5 are displayed
While the symbol (b) blinks slowly, you can select the available flash modes (1 to 5).
Twist the confirm button (5). The frame on the LCD moves to the selected figure.
