To cancel a copy to a memory
card
Select "ABORT COPY" on the
MEMORY REC page and then
press the MENU knob. Select YES
when the message "EXECUTE
OK?" appears.
When there is not enough free
memory
The message "M. shortage" appears in
step 3 when the amount to data to copy
is greater than the amount of remaining
memory, and the message "MEMORY
CARD FULL!" appears when there is
no remaining memory. The copy
cannot be executed if either of these
messages appears. Exchange the
memory card.
Deleting Proxy Data From
Memory Cards
To simultaneously delete data
on the disc and memory card
Execute any of the "DELETE LAST
CLIP", "DELETE ALL CLIPS", and
"QUICK FORMAT" commands on the
DISC page of the camcorder's
MAINTENANCE menu. These
commands simultaneously to delete the
material recorded on a disc and the
proxy data recorded on the memory
card.
To delete proxy data in a
memory card

Display the MEMORY REC
page (see page 20).

Select "DEL ALL MEM CLP"
with the MENU knob and then
press the MENU knob.
The message "EXECUTE OK?"
appears.

Select YES to execute the deletion.
All proxy data in the memory card
is deleted.

Formatting Memory Cards

Use the MEMORY REC page in the
OPERATION menu.
Note
Formatting erases all data stored in the
memory card.

In the TOP menu, select
"OPERATION".

Display the MEMORY REC page
(see page 20).

Select "FORMAT MEMORY".
The message "EXECUTE OK?"
appears.
Notes
• The message "NO MEMORY
CARD!" appears if you attempt
to record with no memory card
loaded. Load a memory card and
try again.
