Possible Solutions
Check the symbol to make sure
it is not defaced. Try scanning
test symbols of the same bar
code type.
Move the scanner closer to the
bar code.
Scan the appropriate host type
bar code.
Be sure proper host is selected.
For RS-232, ensure the scan-
ner's communication parame-
ters match the host's settings.
For a keyboard wedge configu-
ration, ensure the system is
programmed for the correct
keyboard type, and the CAPS
LOCK key is off.
Be sure editing options (e.g.,
UPC-E to UPC-A Conversion)
are properly programmed.
