Scanning in Hands-Free Mode
In the stand, the scanner is in constant-on mode. When you
remove the scanner from the stand it operates in its normal hand-
held mode.
1. Insert scanner in stand.
2. Present bar code and ensure the scan line crosses every bar
and space of the symbol.
3. Upon successful decode, the scanner beeps and the LED
turns green.

Troubleshooting

Problem
Nothing happens when
you follow the operating
instructions.
Laser comes on, but
symbol does not de-
code.

Possible Solutions
Check the system power. En-
sure the power supply is con-
nected if your configuration
requires a power supply.
Check for loose cable connec-
tions.
Be sure the scanner is pro-
grammed to read the type of
bar code you are scanning.
